The 'La Calliope' choker necklace is handcrafted from 24ct gold-gilded bronze and pearls, that represent a moment of light in what is sometimes a rocky journey.

It belongs to 'Love in the Wasteland' collection, that's inspired by T.S Eliot’s “The Waste Land” and his infernal depictions of post-war London. Whilst we are more connected than ever, in terms of technology, the world can still feel like a lonely place today, much like Dante’s Inferno. This collection, with its links and grounding anchor shapes, invites you to find pockets of love, in friendship and connection in the midst of our modern day waste land.

Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. Founded by Rosh Matani in 2014 with the intention of creating "Modern heirlooms that celebrate the beauty of human imperfection", every piece is handcrafted in London's Hatton Garden by a family-run business through the process of lost-wax casting.
