The Key to the Library Necklace

Alighieri's 'The Key to the Library Necklace' unlocks a world of books and stories. The molten key comes to life in Alighieri’s signature texture, like an object from bygone times.

The Key to the Library is cast in recycled bronze and plated in Alighieri’s signature 24kt gold-plating in the UK and sits on a gold-filled chain that can be worn at three adjustable lengths - 16, 18 or 20 inches (40.64cm, 45.72cm and 50.8cm).

Key Dimensions: 3.9cm x 1.9cm.

Hand-crafted through the ancient craft of lost-wax casting, locally in London’s Hatton Garden. Please note, each pendant is completely unique, so they may vary in shape and size. Jewellery is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Do not to wear your Alighieri jewelry whilst showering, exercising or swimming. Avoid contact with oils, lotions or perfumes. Wipe clean with a soft cloth before putting it away in a cool dry place.

Alighieri is a collection of jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’; each piece corresponds to one of the poet’s 100 poems. Founded by Rosh Matani in 2014 with the intention of creating "Modern heirlooms that celebrate the beauty of human imperfection", every piece is handcrafted in London's Hatton Garden by a family-run business through the process of lost-wax casting.
